My product of this week is, of course, another Trader Joe’s gem. I do most of my grocery shopping at Costco, Trader Joe’s, and actually, Amazon; so, that is where most of my goods will come from, y’all. But without further ado:
Shaved Brussels Sprouts – I know, I know. Some of you are thinking ugh, nasty!! I was the same way when I first thought of brussels sprouts. I took me some time to get on the brussels sprout train, but once I was on it, I was ON IT. I heard about these from a Whole30 Instagram that I follow, and I was finally like eh, why not?? I was getting kind of sick of all of the veggies I had been having for lunch. I usually cook these in a pan with some Avocado oil and get them kind of crispy, because I’m weird and I like all of my food a little crispy. They pair so nicely with sausage and sauerkraut, scrambled eggs, even lemon pepper chicken. It’s honestly just a win all around. I think I even started talking about them at book club last week – that’s how much I like them!
I am a smidgen disappointed because Trader Joe’s did just decrease the bag size of these delicious wonders, but at $2.29 a bag, they are basically a steel. Also, I can stretch them to last me almost a whole week. I haven’t been able to get Kevin on the brussels sprouts train, but don’t worry, I won’t give up. But, Buddy likes them, so…I win! (I mean, he does kind of like everything, but it still makes me happy).
