Sooo, today is a big day guys. It seems like just a few weeks ago I was telling you guys that I was FINALLY 3 months seizure free. Where has the time gone, guys? These past 3 months have really flown by.

Today I’m telling you guys that I’ve finally made it. 6. FREAKING. MONTHS. SEIZURE. FREE. This day means SO many things, but mostly its just happiness. I’ve been looking forward to this day for, oh I don’t know…YEARS.  I know that I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for our new diet choices. So in celebration, I’m sharing with you, the thank you note that I have written to the creator of Whole 30, Melissa Hartwig:

Happy (late) New Year!

Happy New Year, guys! 💥💥 Can you believe its 2018? I literally remember when it was turning from 1999 to 2000 and we all thought that the world was going to end because the computers would malfunction. And look at us now…just thriving. 💪🏻

Anyway, since it IS 2018, I wanted to share some of my goals for this year with y’all. I didn’t make a fancy vision board as some people do. (Confession: I actually just found out recently that vision boards are a REAL thing. 😳 I thought that vision boards were a figurative thing? Like oh, ‘I’m going to put all of my goals on this figurative goal!’ But, come to find out, there is typically an actual board involved. Or some fancy people do make them on the computer.) Confession Time

Straight up confession time:

My motivation is dwindling. I’m not sure why, but for some reason, whenever I make it to about the 4 month mark of being seizure-free, which just happened at the end of November, my motivation DWINDLES fast, and i put on my LAZY PANTS. I’ll give you some examples of the laziness setting in: not filling my medicine organizers, forgetting to take my medicine all together, staying up too late, and now, with my new, healthier way of eating, I’M STRUGGLING to stay on track!!  You can ask my husband, my mom, anyone in my family…the four-month struggle is a legit thing. Back to the Grind…

So if you follow me on Insta or Facebook, you know that I’ve been cruising around the Gulf of Mexico these past few days because my older brother got married on Saturday! Yayyy…Congratulations Patrick and Chris!! The wedding was so beautiful and we had so much fun.

As I was planning for the cruise, I told myself that I was going to be responsible with my meals. I mean, I wasn’t unrealistic; I knew I wouldn’t be able to stay on Whole30, so I just planned to stay semi-healthy, and not go totally bonkers. Well, I am here to tell you that I was not responsible. Like, that plan went out the metaphorical window. (Wah, insert cry face emoji, please). That 24/7 soft serve ice cream was calling my name, and the chocolate melting cake was just too good to pass up at dinner.   Y’all, I ordered two freaking desserts one night. I mean, who am I to decide between crème brûlée and chocolate melting cake…. um both, please! And I mean, I knew what I was doing.
